Christmas Present Appeal

Last year we donated over 100 presents to children in poverty. This year, along with the presents already purchased (shown in the 2025 photo), I’m aiming to broaden the appeal’s reach by sharing the Amazon wishlist. The wishlist includes items ranging from £2 to £20, and every single one will be donated directly to the Salvation Army Christmas Present Appeal.

The official cut-off date is 5th December; however, donations can still be made and delivered after this point to support late referrals.

I’m working directly with the East Durham Salvation Army (who are currently covering surrounding areas due to unforeseen circumstances) to help make a difference in the North East this year. If you have the drive — and the financial stability — to contribute, your support would be truly appreciated.

A New December - Christmas Cancer Fundraiser

This song tells the story of watching someone you love battle cancer, capturing the quiet moments of strength, fear, and invisible suffering that often go unseen. It follows the journey from hospital rooms to the heartbreak of losing them, and the way grief reshapes the world that’s left behind.

About Aiden.Charity

Hey, I'm Aiden - the list of what I am, and what I do is quite extensive, but everything ties in to one specific goal; I want to change the world.

I have been fortunate enough thanks to my business endeavours, and smart investing to be in a position to help others, and although my grandious dreams of hitting the .com bubble and helping to shape the future were slightly before my time, I am still committed to making a difference to those who are overlooked, sometimes due to their suffering being normalised.

I am all too often thanked for my contributions, but the thanks I receive pales in comparison to the knowing that I've inspired people to make a difference. "The journey of 1,000 miles starts with a single step".

The North East of England has the highest rate of child poverty in the UK, and through not fault of their own, find themselves in a position where they may not receive presents over the Christmas period. The highest demographic being in the 6-12 age range where the magic and wonder of Christmas still exists deep on their minds, missing out of the foundational experience of kindness, whilst watching others giving/receiving gifts and kindness. The real reward is ensuring that we can reach these children, and give them the Christmas, experience and kindness they deserve.

I'll be personally supporting the salvation army in their efforts this year, ensuring that more children in low-income housing, or poverty get to share in the same joy and wonder as others.

Often overlooked is the toll this takes on the mental health of genuine parents, those struggling to make ends meet who would move mountains for their children - whilst it's important to ensure that these children are given the shared experience of Christmas, we should also recognise the stress and the mental health toll this has on parents, and support them in going above and beyond, even whilst in a difficult position.

- The UK faces another, more malicious issue - 1 in 2 people in the UK, will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lives, and having been exposed to this through my close friends, those I class as family, and my work colleagues, it has become so clear how much that 50% affects the lives of everyone involved. The rate of developing cancer is 50%, but the impact affects each and everyone one of us, whether we have it or not.

460 cancer related deaths every day, 168k a year, in the midst of a loneliness epidemic in an age where we're the most connected we've ever been, but also the most distant.

I have seen how cancer has ripped familiest apart, turned friends into shells of who they were pre-diagnosis, and watched the morale drain from even the most confident and uplifted people, but there is so much more we can do.

This year, along with my present drive, I will be personally donating, and fundraising for cancer charities over the Christmas period. As part of this effort, I have used my skills as a passable songwriter to convey a narrative, a narrative that sadly affects more and more people every year.

If you're still reading this, I invite you to stand beside me in supporting the most vulnerable in our society, whether this be our underserved children, or those fighting against their own afflictions. Together we can make a difference, and together, we can change the world.
